Nancy's OilsAlmond Oil (Prunus amygdalus var. dulcis)
Helpful to all skin types. Especially good for eczema. helps relieve itching, soreness, dryness and inflammation. Useful against burns and thread veins. Very lubricating.
Apricot Oil (Prunus armeniaca)
Apricot oil contains minerals and vitamins, especially Vitamin A. The oil can be used for all skin types. It is very rich, nourishing and helpful for prematurely aged, sensitive, inflamed, delicate or dry skin.
Avocado Oil (Persea americana)
Avocado oil contains vitamins A, B1, B2, Pantothenic acid, Vit. D, E, protein, lecithin, and fatty acids. It is nourishing for dry and dehydrated skin. It helps eczema, solar keratosis,and improves skin elasticity.
Camellia Oil (Camellia sinensis)
Camellia oil is very high in oleic acid that helps to moisturize and condition the skin.
Coconut Oil (Cocos nucifera)
Coconut oil is the closest substance to human sub-cutaneous fat and is more compatible with skin than vegetable oils. It helps to alleviate dryness and itching.
Grapeseed Oil (Vitis vinifera)
Grapeseed oil contains vitamins, minerals, protein, and linoleic acid. It can be used on all skin types. It is very light oil that is odorless, penetrating and slightly astringent. It tightens and tones the skin.
Jojoba Oil (Simmondsia californica)
Jojoba oil contains protein, minerals, plant wax, and myristic acid. It mimics sebum and penetrates the skin very rapidly. It is excellent for nourishing and healing the skin of psoriasis, eczema and dermatitis. Excess sebum actually dissolves in jojoba.
Lanolin
Lanolin is a natural, waterproof emollient derived from the wool of sheep. It mimics our own sebum and acts as an emollient. It helps the skin retain moisture lending a soft, supple feel to the skin.
Primrose Oil (Oenothera biennis)
Primrose oil contains gamma linolenic acid, vitamins, and minerals.
It is useful for psoriasis, eczema, in helping to prevent prematurely aged skin, wound healing and any sort of scars.
Rice Bran Oil (Oryza sativa)
Rice Bran oil is a powerful skin protectant that is rich in gamma-oryzanol, which will protect and replenish your skin. Rice Bran oil can be an effective substitute for lanolin, and can help reduce inflammation. It's a wonderful oil for itchy "alligator" skin.
Rosehip Oil (Rosa canina)
Rosehip oil is rich in essential fatty acids, vitamins and minerals. It has natural anti-oxidant properties and is slightly astringent. It helps improve elasticity of the skin, regenerate skin cells, slow down premature aging, reduce the formation of wrinkles, and reduce scarring.
Squalane Oil
This all vegetable product, extracted from Olive Oil, is one of the most powerful moisturizers. Clear and colorless, it looks like water in the bottle. Squalane not only moisturizes the skin, but also provides a barrier preventing transdermal water loss. Squalane is a natural component of human skin during childhood and adolescence, but as we enter our twenties, the amount present decreases rapidly, contributing to the aging process.
Sunflower (Helianthus annuus)
Contains: Vit A, B,D, E, minerals, lecithin, inulin,, high in unsaturated fatty acids. Good for all skin types.
Vitamin E (Tocopherol)
The alpha tocopherol component of the oil is responsible for repairing, healing and protecting skin. Vitamin E moisturizes the skin from within, reduces UV induced damage, and decreases erythema (redness of the skin) after sun exposure. Vitamin E oil is often to prevent stretch marks, heal acne, promote wound healing and prevent scarring from eczema or psoriasis.
